
Hey there smoothies! I’ve really missed you these past few months… I’ve been backpacking in amazing Europe and sadly, had to give up a mostly raw diet, travelling with a fantastic group which preferred hamburgers over veggies. I did make the best choices I could and opted for a caprese salad over a well-done steak… but white buns, frites and all shapes of pasta ruled. Feels so refreshing to be able to blend my fresh blueberries and kale again…mmmm. I had an amazing summer and I am glad to be back. It was great to get away and I wish I could stay all year but its nice to return to what you’re used to.

Leafy Hemp Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 large handfuls greens
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 2 tbsp hemp protein
Around 250 calories. Yummy, Filling & Healthy.
Almond butter milkshake
A rich and creamy smoothie inspired by Matthew Kenney’s Banana Almond Butter Cup
Ingredients
- 2 whole frozen bananas
- 2 tbsp raw almond butter
- 2 tbsp cocoa nibs
- 1 tsp chia seed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 tsp maple syrup (or to taste)
Instructions
- Place ingredients in high powered blender
- Blend until smooth
- Garnish with additional cocoa nibs
Who needs dessert when you can have this bit of heaven?
